Authors in the Field ft. Aiko Bethea: Anchored, Aligned, Accountable
Author and executive coach Aiko Bethea joins facilitator Redia Anderson to dig into her new book, Anchored, Aligned, Accountable: A Framework for Transcending Bullshit and Transforming Our Lives and Work. The title alone signals what’s inside: straight talk about the leadership topics most books leave unspoken.
Aiko walks through her three-part framework: anchoring to your core values, aligning your actions to those values, and holding yourself accountable for your impact. She unpacks what a truly transformational life looks like, built on connection (starting with yourself), continuous learning and expansion, and rest and spaciousness. As she puts it, the gap between that kind of life and the transactional hamster wheel is exactly what brings clients to coaching.
Watch the full recording below and if you want to go deeper, Aiko is leading two extended learning modules this summer for the Hudson community:
Module 1: Being the Ground — July 28, 8:30am–12:30pm PT. Using the Anchored, Aligned, Accountable Framework™ as a tool for self-reflection, coaches will examine their own values, biases, and beliefs and how these shape their impact in the coaching alliance
Module 2: Being the Anchor — August 26, 8:30am–12:30pm PT. Shifts the lens outward, applying the same framework to better support clients through deep listening, empathy and curiosity.
Both can be attended as standalone modules. Register here.
