In the aftermath of the Covid-19 shutdown, organizations are facing massive changes in how they do business and what their workplace looks like. The workforce has recalibrated their relationship to their work in both the ‘how’ and the ‘why’, resulting in record numbers of resignations in 2021. The global workforce is experiencing a crisis of meaning — employees want work to be aligned with purpose, and they are calling on organizations to meet the moment. Meanwhile, leaders are grappling with the realities of remote work — specifically if and how it will continue to work for their businesses.

The scope of business strategy has shifted completely for many as well, challenging companies to demand more from their people in the short term, while adapting and calibrating for longer term goals.

In this Hudson Coaching Conversation, we will talk with esteemed business leaders about how they are grappling with these large shifts in organizational dynamics that were sparked by the global pandemic. We’ll look at what leaders can do to continue to foster purpose, meaning, and ongoing development that will support efforts to recruit, develop, and retain talent during this tumultuous time.

Pam McLean, Ph.D., will host Jeffrey Belanger, Chief Human Resources Officer at SEMrush, Dr. Elizabeth Brill, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Veterans Health Administration, to discuss how they are grappling with large shifts in organizational dynamics that are being sparked by the global pandemic.
